Nebraska has had a big spring game weekend, but following the game they picked up a 2019 commitment on the weekend. Marquez Beason, a 2019 athlete from Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne committed to Nebraska following their spring game, but says he will continue to evaluate offers,

"Yes sir, I committed," Beason said. "I have committed and I am 'GBR'. I have committed, but I am still going to evaluate my options."

The treatment by the people on his visit this weekend was the reason why Beason felt like Nebraska was the right place. He's heard a lot about Nebraska from a teammate and said he really needed to get the visual himself to confirm what he's heard.

"Nebraska treated me like family since I got here. Damion Daniels will be here already when I get here. They love football in Nebraska.

"I had heard a lot about Nebraska from Damion, but I wanted to see the campus and see the coaches and how they interact with their players."

Beason may get a look on both sides of the football initially at Nebraska. It seems as if there was one side of the football he would settle in on it would be offense based on coach Keith Williams recruiting him.

"I think that they may try and play me on both sides of the ball when I first get here," Beason said. "I can play either sides of the football in college."
