NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The official welcome party for the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl was held at the Wildhorse Saloon Tuesday night. The Nebraska and Tennessee football teams and coaching staffs took part in a meal and several competitions including the hot chicken eating competition.

The Huskers, led by defensive tackle Garrett Johns, offensive linemen Robbie Painter, John Raridon, Jaylin Barnett and wide receiver Ty Betka dominated the Volunteers in the contest. Johns and Painter tied in regulation with 12 hot chicken tenders eaten apiece and Johns won in a separate tie-breaker against Painter to take home the championship belt.
