"We're glad to welcome Paul back to the athletic department," Osborne said. "I've talked to so many people who greatly appreciate Paul's energy, honesty and leadership. Over the years, he's built many positive relationships both inside and outside the department, and that will benefit all of us."

In 1999, he was named senior development officer and interim director of development. He will return to athletics on Nov. 5.
"When Coach Osborne asked me to come back to the department, I was truly humbled," said
Meyers, who resigned his position as associate athletic director for major gifts on Oct. 15. "I love working for the Nebraska Athletic Department and I'm excited to return."
