Frost named Home Depot coach of the year and will be on ESPN's award show

The awards and honors continue to pour in for new Nebraska head coach Scott Frost.

On Wednesday, the former Central Florida head coach was named the Home Depot Coach of the Year.

Frost will be a part of ESPN's College Football Awards Show that airs Thursday at 6 pm CST from the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.

The Home Depot Coach of the Year Award has been around since 1994, and the only other coach with Nebraska ties to with the award was Frank Solich back in 1999.

Frost led UCF to a perfect 12-0 season capped off by dramatic back-to-back wins over South Florida and Memphis. His No. 12 ranked Knight will take on No. 7 ranked Auburn on New Year's Day in the Peach Bowl at 11:30 am CST on ESPN.
