Week 7 Nebraska NFL Stat Check

Before we get to the stat check, I wanted to pass along a cool moment between two Husker players. On Washington's first drive Sunday, the Redskins were facing a second and goal on the Giants' two-yard line. New York cornerback Prince Amukamara was lined up across from Washington tight end Niles Paul, who was one of his best friends during their time at Nebraska. Their heated battles in practice and playful verbal spars were always interesting anecdotes during their Husker careers.

Paul ran a click slant toward the middle of the field and Robert Griffin III threw his way, but Amukamara got his hand in to deflect the ball and helped the Giants hold the Redskins to a field goal. It was just another in a long line of battles between the two, and there is little doubt that Amukamara let Paul hear about it.
