Throwback Thursday: Bob Devaneys final game

HuskerOnline.com will introduce a new feature each week called "Throwback Thursday" where we remember a great moment in Nebraska history.
In HOL's first installment of Throwback Thursday we look back at legendary head coach Bob Devaney's final game at NU - the 1972 Orange Bowl played against Notre Dame on New Year's Day in 1973.

The No. 9 Huskers throttled the No. 12 Irish 40-6 as Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers threw for a touchdown, caught a touchdown and ran for a touchdown. Nebraska outgained Notre Dame 560 to 207 in yardage and it was truly the perfect ending for Devaney in his final game as head coach.
