Nebraska lands late 2024 commit from international ATH David Höffken

Nebraska football has landed a late 2024 commitment from intriguing international athlete David Höffken.

Höffken stands 6-foot-7, 255 pounds and can play defensive end or offensive tackle. The 22-year-old, who originally hails from Kiel, Germany, has been visiting camps with international organization Gridiron Imports and camped in front of Nebraska’s coaching staff the past two days in Belton, Texas, and Houston.

After being offered by the staff in person, Höffken committed to the staff on the spot, as seen in a video released by Gridiron Imports on social media, and will join the program ahead of the 2024 season.

"Check it out, check it out, we want you to be a Husker you cool with that," asked defensive line coach Terrance Knighton in the video released by Gridiron Imports

"Get your paperwork done and then you're good to camp," said Knighton

"That's crazy.....I can't believe it, yes... I'm on board," Höffken responded

Höffken was overcome with emotion with the realization set in. Already 22 years old, the German native has been chasing the dream of playing football in America for years, and that dream is now reality.
