Joshua Moore commit: What does it mean for Nebraska?

Nebraska's Class of 2018 continues to fill up with prospects that attended the Red-White spring game as Rivals250 wide receiver Joshua Moore out of Yoakum, Texas became NU's 11th known verbal commitment Sunday.

Here are some quick takes and analysis on what Moore's commitment means to the Huskers.

1. Moore's commitment represents a major recruiting victory for Nebraska. The Huskers beat out Texas A&M and Florida State as the receiver's finalists and his brother is currently committed to the Aggies. On top of that, Moore had more than 50 other offers to his name that he could have picked from.

2. Give Nebraska wide receivers coach Keith Williams a lot of credit in the job he did in building a relationship with not only Moore, but his entire family as well during the recruiting process. The only thing better than landing a commitment from Moore for the wideouts coach would be to do so on his birthday which today is.

3. The wide receiver position is arguably the biggest need for the Huskers in its 2018 recruiting cycle. They need to sign at least four talented players at the position and Moore certainly fits the bill.

4. Moore will immediately add some much needed height and length to the Nebraska receiving corps. The four-star wideout stands 6-foot-3, has long arms and can also elevate to catch the ball which creates problems for defenders.

5. Moore also brings impressive speed to the table in addition to his height and length. He's the type of receiver that can stretch the field vertically when called upon. He can also create after the catch by using his speed to run away from defenders on short passes.

6. Moore is a competitor and isn't afraid of putting in hard work. Some guys love football and everything that comes along with getting better every single day and others don't. Moore loves it and is driven to become the best wideout he can be under the tutelage of coach Keith Williams..

7. The Huskers add another nationally known recruit to its 2018 class and to its team as whole. Moore has the type of name recognition and connections to help the Huskers not only recruit more prospects out of Texas, but to help them with other national type of recruits as well.
