Huskers, Lindsey part ways after four games

Another member of former head coach Mike Riley's "Calibraska" group has decided to move on from the Husker football program.

Former four-star wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey has asked for and been granted his scholarship release per a University of Nebraska football spokesperson.

The 5-foot-9, 200 pound Lindsey never was able to catch on at NU.

After having a minimal impact in 2017, Lindsey had just 22 receiving yards, 9 rushing yards and 1 punt return yard on 10 all-purpose touches over the first four games.

Because of the new NCAA four-game redshirt rule that went into effect this season, Lindsey can take a redshirt for 2018 and preserve his eligibility for this season and still have three years left to play.
