Green leaving Nebraska

In a surprising development, HuskerOnline.com has confirmed through a source close to situation that junior quarterback Cody Green plans to leave the Nebraska football program.
Coming out of the spring Green was just one of three scholarship quarterbacks left in the program, along with sophomore Taylor Martinez and redshirt freshman Brion Carnes.

The reason for the transfer the source shared was that Cody did not believe he was a good fit for the new direction Nebraska's offense was going under Husker offensive coordinator Tim Beck.
When reached by a university spokesman NU head coach Bo Pelini had "no comment" at this time.
It is not known yet which schools he's exploring as possible transfer destinations.
Over Green's career, he started games against Baylor and Oklahoma in 2009 and Iowa State and Colorado in 2010.
He finished his time at NU with 657 yards passing and five touchdowns, to go along with 254 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground.
