Ben Scott stood in front of the Nebraska football media on Thursday following the Huskers’ fourth practice of fall camp and barely blinked when he fielded one of the last questions of his interview.

When asked how going up against DC Tony White and the Huskers’ 3-3-5 defense in practice can help sharpen up Nebraska’s offensive line and prepare it for Big Ten play, Scott was pretty matter of fact.

“Oh, this is gonna be the hardest defense we ever go against complex-wise, for sure,” Scott said. “Because no other team, really, in the Big Ten has a defense like it. It’s gonna be good to go against these guys all fall. When we work on Minnesota and they run that 4-2, we’re gonna be like, ‘Geez, this is just 4-2 the whole game.’ So it’s gonna be nice.”

For all of those who care in some way about Nebraska football – whether you’re a die-hard, a casual, a coach, player or even a sports bettor backing the Huskers – you’re hoping Scott is right.
