Nebraska will have a new Athletic Director heading into the 2021-22 fiscal year that begins on July 1.

That's what we know right now. The Lincoln Journal Star first reported on Friday that Moos's time at NU is over. HuskerOnline has also confirmed the news.

Moos was 3.5 years into his five-year contract, which paid him $1.15 million per year. If Moos remained employed at Nebraska through December 31, 2022, he was set to receive a payment of $1,250,000 from the Foundation as a retention bonus.

There has been no official word or statement by the NU Athletic Department on this, but a press conference or announcement is expected to take place sometime on Friday.
