Daniel and Josh Bullocks have always done a lot of things alike.

That continued Saturday, when Daniel Bullocks was selected by the Detroit Lions as the 40th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. A year earlier, twin brother Josh was selected by the New Orleans Saints, also in the second round and also the No. 40 pick in the draft.
"I was thinking about Detroit, and when they called me my brother said, 'that's the same pick I went at last year,'" Daniel told Detroitlions.com. "It felt really weird, but at the same time I feel blessed to go with the same pick as my brother."
Bullocks completed his Nebraska career in 2005, serving as one of two Husker co-captains last season, and was a second-team All-Big 12 selection each of the past two seasons. The 6-2, 210-pound Bullocks finished with 226 career tackles, the second-most ever by a Nebraska defensive back, while his 22 career pass breakups were the most ever by a Nebraska safety. Bullocks also finished with eight career interceptions to finish just outside of the Nebraska top 10. He played in 48 career games, with 33 starts, and started each of the final 32 games of his Nebraska career.
Daniel Bullocks was the only Nebraska player drafted on Saturday's first three rounds. Defensive tackles Titus Adams and Le Kevin Smith and running back Cory Ross are among the Huskers awaiting calls when the seven-round draft resumes on Sunday.
The selection of Bullocks adds talent to a Detroit secondary that lost two players to free agency this offseason.
"We're excited – we're adding to our defense right now with again, the same type of traits that Ernie (Sims) has," head coach Rod Marinelli told Detroitlions.com. "The speed; he (Bullocks) hits with authority; he's got good range; great speed; good tackler, ball skills. All of (the things) we've been looking for."
