10 takeaways on commit No. 15 RB Jaylin Bradley

1. First and foremost, Bradley is an in-state player at a position of need for NU. Not only is he the best player on the best team in the state, but he's arguably the top overall prospect in Nebraska this year and those are the types of kids the Huskers have to always lock up.

2. Bradley to Nebraska is a natural fit. Not just because he lives down the road from Lincoln, but because fits the mold of running back that the Nebraska coaching staff likes to target. He's the type of complete back that running backs coach Reggie Davis covets.

3. As mentioned above, Bradley is a complete back. He's extremely productive running between the tackles and he's also got the speed to get the edge on outside runs. He's also a threat in the passing game as he had 19 receptions for 230 yards and a touchdown as a senior. Perhaps the thing that really separates Bradley from others out there is his vision and overall elusiveness.

4. Bradley is a winner. He's be a key player for one of the top programs in the state during his high school career and was a major reason why the Thunderbirds won a Class A state championship this past fall. He's also a determined kid as he's turned a tough academic situation completely around when it would have been easy to just throw in the towel.

5. The state of Nebraska has produced some terrific running backs over the years and none have put up the kind of numbers that Bradley did. During his senior season he rushed for 2,915 yards and 50 touchdowns averaging nine yards per carry. Over his career at Bellevue West he had 5,308 total yards with 83 total touchdowns.

6. Bradley wasted absolutely no time in accepting his offer from the Huskers. Nebraska had been showing him steady interest for quite some time by inviting him to attend home games, watching him play in person and staying on top of his academic situation. For NU, it's always got to be nice to have an in-state kid practically accept the offer on the spot because they want to play in Lincoln so bad.
