That Joe Dailey would break David Humm’s single-game record for passing yards this season was considered nearly a lock given Nebraska’s new pass-oriented offense.

Despite Dailey’s struggles early on, it seemed clear that eventually the record would fall. Few would have expected it to fall during a game in which he threw just 20 passes, however.
