Steinkuhler suspended for Holiday Bowl

Sophomore defensive tackle Baker Steinkuhler was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence early Tuesday morning in Lincoln.
As a result, Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini announced that Steinkuhler would be suspended for the Huskers' game against Washington in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30.

"I have met with Baker Steinkuhler and discussed the situation with him," Pelini said in a statement. "He is a tremendous young man who made a mistake in judgment. Baker will not participate in the Holiday Bowl against Washington. In terms of our football program, all other discipline for Baker will be handled internally."
Steinkuhler started all 13 games for Nebraska this season opposite junior Jared Crick, finishing with 46 total tackles and 3 ½ sacks. In his place, junior Terrence Moore is expected to get the start in the bowl game.
