Nebraskas Bowl Week Begins

ORLANDO - Nebraska officially kicked off Capital One Bowl Week when it arrived Wednesday evening. The team is staying at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, the same hotel the Huskers stayed at last year.
The team will begin practicing tomorrow morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Freedom High School, the same location the team practiced at last season. The team will practice at the same time on Thursday and Friday as well before practicing at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday. There is no practice Monday before the game on Tuesday.
Off the field, Nebraska will kick off its team bowl activities following Thursday's practice when they will visit Disney World. The Huskers will head out to Universal Studios on Friday.
The first formal press conference will be on Saturday, when the offensive and defensive coordinators on both teams will meet with the media. Rex Burkhead and Will Compton will join Tim Beck and John Papuchis while Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will be joined by quarterback Aaron Murray and linebacker Jarvis Jones. The rest of the Huskers will head out to Sea World following Saturday's practice before taking in the Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors game Saturday night.
Prior to Sunday's practice, several players from both teams will participate at Day For Kids at Walt Disney World at DisneyQuest. Nebraska's Spencer Long, Ameer Abdullah, P.J. Smith and Alonzo Whaley, as well as Georgia's Murray, Chris Burnette, Garrison Smith and Christian Robinson will interact with disabled and disadvantaged children from across central Florida.
Nebraska is then scheduled to practice from 11:45-1:30. Following practice, the Huskers will go on a Best Buy Team Shopping Spree. Each player is given a $450 gift card to spend on whatever they choose.
There is a press conference on Monday during which Bo Pelini and Mark Richt will address the media at the Renaissance Orlando. Immediately after the press conference, both teams will attend the Kickoff Luncheon at the same hotel. Both teams will hold a walk-through practice which is closed to media and will participate in the Capital One Pep Rally at Orlando Bowl Week Fan Fest.
Finally, the teams will meet in the Capital One Bowl at noon Central time. The game will be televised nationally on ABC. will provide complete coverage from Nebraska's bowl week.
