Colorado Springs (Colo.) Pine Creek linebacker JoJo Domann's visit to Nebraska this weekend went about as well as it could have.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year for the state of Colorado made his way to Lincoln this past Thursday night and was able to spend time with former high school teammate Avery Anderson and former 7-on-7 teammate Eric Lee, both of whom are currently going through spring practice as early enrollees. Domann was also in attendance for Nebraska's Junior Day today and added an offer from the Huskers before he and his father headed back home.
"On Friday I shadowed Avery and went to class with him, went to practices and all that kind of stuff," Domann said. "Then I hung out with Avery and Eric that night in their dorm. I got a pretty good feel for (being a student-athlete). We had class outside, so that was really cool. People seem like they love it here, so it was pretty cool."
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Domann said he had already seen much of what the tour during junior day consisted of. However, the Life Skills presentation was something that definitely caught his attention.
"They just really did the same thing Avery showed me," Domann said. "They explained everything and it was cool to be there with all of the other recruits they are talking to. They talked about - in this presentation - all the life skill things. You can go to Guatemala, you do work in the community, so that was really cool. I really enjoyed it."
The visitors were then able to watch Nebraska go through spring practice where Domann said he paid close attention to linebackers coach Trent Bray. After practice, Domann was able to meet with Bray and head coach Mike Riley which is when he was informed about the offer.
"I was just seeing how I'd fit in and how Coach (Bray) coaches, what kind of style he does and that kind of stuff," Domann said about practice. "I was pretty much watching the defense and the linebackers.
"Afterwards we had a meeting with both (Riley and Bray) at the same time. It went well, we talked for 30 minutes and they did end up offering me. They see me as the WILL linebacker that is also a hybrid type of guy that has to be covering the No. 2 receiver and has to have the speed of a cover guy but then has to come downhill and fill the gap and that kind of stuff, so that's what they saw me as. They were complimentary of my film and everything I'm about."
Domann will tell you that Nebraska was a school he was hoping to land an offer from and while it does vault the Huskers to the top of his list it doesn't mean that he'll be jumping on it right away.
"Yeah, it was really good," Domann said about landing the offer from the Huskers. "Nebraska is such an insane place to go if you are playing football because the whole town revolves around you, it was special.
"I'm going to still wait to make my decision until the summer. That definitely takes a lot of pressure off because they definitely are at the top of my list. But yeah, I'll probably still be visiting some places. I think I'm still going to Michigan on the 25th, so we'll still play it out. It's really nice to have a school like Nebraska under my belt."
Domann said he plans on visiting Nebraska again soon, but will be unable to make it for the spring game due to a 7-on-7 tournament.
