Senior Ben Miller continues to get the job done on the mound and at the plate.

Nebraska traveled to Manhattan, Kansas for a midweek game with Kansas State and beat the Wildcats 6-1. In doing so, NU notched their 20th win of the season.

Ben Miller continued his impressive play as of late. The big senior was the starting pitcher and he went three innings, giving up one run while striking out two. At the plate, Miller was 2-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

"You know, he was just pounding his fastball pretty well and he, obviously, has a really good changeup," NU head coach Darin Erstad said. "I thought he mixed those well.

"He just did a great job and he's been swinging the bat very well. To be able to handle both of those things, and to go out there and to give us three innings was just awesome."

Five Husker pitchers combined to hold the Wildcats to just four hits and one run. Jake McSteen picked up the victory improving to 3-0 on the year.

Jesse Wilkening also had two hits and scored two runs, and Mojo Hagge had two RBI.

The Huskers are now winners of 15 of their past 19 games with one tie. NU won both games over their old Big 12 foe K-State this season.

"This place is a very difficult place to win at," Coach Erstad stated. "You cannot give them any extra help on defense or too many walks. We were able to play very solidly today. Nothing special, nothing flashy, just a good solid, all-around effort."

Nebraska (20-11-1, 4-1-1 Big Ten) next returns home for a weekend conference series against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
