Huskers add their second four-star of the night

In a surprise development, the Nebraska football team picked up a verbal commitment on Thursday night from Hollywood (Fla.) Miramar wide receiver Dominick Watt.

The four-star prospect is not even scheduled to visit NU until the weekend of Feb. 2, but he saw enough from head coach Scott Frost and his staff that he decided to make his decision public before visiting campus.

The commitment of Watt comes on the heels of Nebraska landing four-star athlete Miles Jones - also out of Florida.

With the addition of Jones and Watt, the Huskers now have six recruits in their 2018 class from the state of Florida, with the next closest in numbers being Nebraska with two.

The commitment of Watt also pushes NU's class in into the top 30 of the Rivals 2018 class rankings, and the Huskers also surpassed Minnesota to take over the No. 1 overall ranking in the Big Ten West on Thursday night.

Watt made his announcement official Thursday night on Twitter.
