Calling Christopher Sundberg a Kyle Larson clone might be unfair, as the current punter for the Huskers has been able to get the Huskers out of some real 'jams' since he has been at Nebraska. Kyle will undoubtedly challenge for the Ray Guy Award this year. He has been 'Mister Consistent' throughout his career. He has been able to flat out boom them and use the gentle touch when needed. To replace him...is almost impossible.

"Nebraska is sending my coach mail," Sundberg, who is from Columbus, Montana, said. "A coach sent a tape and I think he sent it back."

How good a punter is this kid from Montana and what else can he do?

"In practice I kicked one 80 yards and 75 yards in the air. My average (punt) has been averaging over 50 yards in 12 to 15 punts this year. All teams say we know you can punt the ball."

That he can, but that is not all, as he has lead his team to six straight 'blow-outs' - 35-0, 42-, 54-6, 45-0, 50-8 and 82-0. Those scores were done with Christopher only playing part-time, along with the first team from Columbus.

Christopher Sundberg is not familiar with his statistics so far this year, but he

is "about 70 percent" on his passes with "five or ten touchdowns dropped - probably closer to 10." He thinks he has thrown 10 passing touchdowns with approximately another 10 running.

He plays safety when he is not playing quarterback and punting and teams are looking for him for that position too.

He has scholarship offers from Montana and Montana State, but it looks like Oregon State and possibly Colorado State are close to offering him (both call every week). His coach has had "15-20" schools asking for film on him...just recently.

"A lot are recruiting me for athlete." Is it any wonder?

Christopher continues to grow, as he is now 6-foot-5 and 210-pounds and getting stronger. His best 40-yard dash time is 4.57-seconds.
