Cethan Carter gives Nebraska commit No. 21
Nebraska picked up their second tight end commitment in their 2013 signing class on Thursday night.
Metairie (La.) Rummel tight end Cethan Carter became the 21st verbal commitment in Nebraska's 2013 signing class.

Husker Head Coach Bo Pelini, as well as assistants Terry Joseph and Barney Cotton, conducted an in-home visit with Carter on Thursday evening to close the deal for the Big Red.
"Yes, I committed to Nebraska tonight," Carter told HOL.com.
Carter said that his weekend stay in Lincoln sealed the deal for both he and his mother.
"It just felt like home to me," Carter said about his official to NU. "I loved the atmosphere, the way they plan to use me in their offense, and their whole academic setup. I loved it all.
"My mother loved it just as much as I did, especially their academic program."
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Carter earned first-team all-district and honorable mention all-state recognition after his senior campaign.
"This season I had like 20-something receptions for 330 yards with five receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
"I'm going to be a blocking tight end at Nebraska, but they'll also use me a lot like Kyler Reed."
In the Louisiana Class 5A state championship game Carter had five catches for 74 yards and a touchdown in Rummel's 35-14 win over Barbe.
"He's at two star right now, but to me he's a high three or a four with loads of upside," Louisiana preps expert Mike Scarborough of TigerBait.com said. "Everybody was raving about him in the state championship game that got to see him."
Carter said with his verbal pledge to play for the Cornhuskers he was canceling all remaining visits.
"I'm shutting the recruiting process down."
What if LSU or Alabama would come through with a late full ride?
"I'm done," Carter said with emphasis.
Asked if he had anything to say to the Nebraska fans, Carter replied:
"GBR baby!"
Carter has recorded a 21 ACT and said that he will be fully qualified as long as he keeps his grades up.
