Capital One Bowl: Your official 101

ORLANDO, Fla. - Nebraska officially arrives to Orlando for the 2012 Capital One Bowl on Monday evening. Here is your official 101 guide of everything you'll need to know this week as the Huskers get ready to play South Carolina.

Where Nebraska is staying
Nebraska's team headquarters for the week in Orlando will be the luxurious Peabody Hotel on 9801 International Drive. The Peabody is minutes away from all the major theme parks and is one of only two four-star properties in Orlando according to Forbes Magazine. NU's entire traveling party will stay at the Peabody, including the Alumni Association. Nebraska will officially arrive at the Peabody at around 8:30 pm on Monday.
Where Nebraska is practicing
The Huskers will hold their practices this week in Orlando at Freedom High School, which is located about 15 minutes from NU's team hotel on 2500 West Taft Vineland Road. Nebraska will hold a total of five practices at Freedom High School Tuesday through Saturday. They're scheduled to practice from 9:30 to 11:30 am the first three days, 11:45 am to 1:30 pm on Friday and 9:30 to 11:15 am on Saturday.
Note: All bowl practices are closed to the public.
Nebraska's bowl week activity schedule
NU will have a busy week of activities scheduled in Orlando. On most days Nebraska will practice until 11:30 am, have lunch at the practice site and immediately take the bus to that day's activity. On Tuesday the Huskers will visit Walt Disney World, on Wednesday they will be at Universal Studios and Thursday they will be at Sea World and attend an Orlando Magic game later that evening.
On Friday the team will head to a local Best Buy where each player will then get the opportunity to spend the $420 gift card they received for their bowl gift. The team will also have a morning activity on Friday where they will be at DisneyQuest spending time with disabled and disadvantaged children from Central Florida.
On Saturday, the "Fresh From Florida Parade" will take place in downtown Orlando. Both the Nebraska and South Carolina marching bands will take part in the parade. On New Year's Day the Capital One Bowl will hold their kickoff luncheon at the Peabody, which features both teams in their entirety along with the bowl officials and sponsors. There will also be a pep rally featuring Nebraska on Sunday at 4 pm at the Orlando Bowl Week Fan HQ on International Drive.
Bowl week press conference schedule
There were will be two official press conferences put on by the bowl game. On Saturday there will be a 1 pm coordinator press conference featuring both offensive coordinator Tim Beck and defensive coordinator John Papuchis, along with running back Rex Burkhead and linebacker Lavonte David at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.
On Sunday, the bowl will wrap things up before Monday's kickoff with a 11:15 am press conference featuring Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini and South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier at the Peabody.
