This news was not entirely unexpected, as RedRaiderSports.com first reported last Monday that Crabtree would be announcing his intentions to leave for the NFL. Several days later, Crabtree's father, also named Michael Crabtree, told a Lubbock newspaper that his son would be declaring for the draft.
In two seasons at Texas Tech, Crabtree caught 231 passes for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns.
