New York's McDonald's All-Americans

Kemba Walker of Manhattan's Rice High School and Sylven Landesberg of Queens, Holy Cross were named to the McDonald's All-American Game March 26 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, according to sources.

The 6-foot-2 Walker is headed to UConn and the 6-6 Landesberg will play at Virginia. They will join St. Anthony (N.J.) 6-2 shooting guard Mike Rosario and St. Benedict's (N.J.) 6-9 forward Samardo Samuels in the game. Rosario has committed to Rutgers, and Samuels to Louisville.

The team will be officially announced Feb. 19.

Also nominated from New York were Walker's Rice teammates Chris Fouch (Drexel) and Dorvell Carter (undecided); West Virginia-bound Kevin Jones of Mount Vernon and Darryl "Truck" Bryant of St. Raymond; Syracuse-bound Mookie Jones of Peekskill; Florida-bound Erving Walker of Christ the King; and Sean Kilpatrick of White Plains (undecided).

Among the players selected to last year's McDonald's game were Corey Stokes of St. Benedict's, now at Villanova; O.J. Mayo (USC); Derrick Rose (Memphis); Michael Beasley (Kansas State); Kevin Love (UCLA); Kyle Singler (Duke); and the current Syracuse duo of Donte Green and Jonny Flynn.

Walker, Rosario and Samuels will all be in action this weekend at the PrimeTime Shootout.

Rosario and St. Anthony face John Carroll (Md.) tonight at the Rutgers Athletic Center, and Samuels and St. Benedict's face New Jersey rival St. Patrick later at the same location.

Walker's Rice squad faces Lance Stephenson and Lincoln Saturday night at the Sovereign Bank Arena. Rice is ranked No. 7 in the USA Today Super 25 rankings and Lincoln is No. 12.
