Rivals.com to be all over Under Armour all-stars

UA Roster Breakdown | More All-star games coverage | U.S. Army AA Bowl Coverage

While great high school football players can come from any nook and cranny, this week 80 of the nation's best will be calling Orlando, Fla., home.

The Under Armour All-Star High School Football Game will be played at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex on Jan. 5, and will be preceded by a week of practice and festivities.

Rivals.com will be there every step of the way.

The Under Armour All-Star roster consists of players from 22 states and includes five Rivals.com five-star prospects. The top two wide receivers in the nation, Julio Jones and A.J. Green, are scheduled to participate in the game.

The players will begin to arrive in Orlando on Sunday. The following morning at 9:30 a.m., two-a-day practices kick off, and Rivals.com will be on hand for every one of the 10 scheduled practices over the following five days. You can expect live updates throughout each day to fill you in on the top plays, players, and performances - as well as injury updates and coaching tidbits.

Along with live practice updates, Rivals.com will be bringing you a daily rewind of the top five news items from each day, photo galleries and notebooks chronicling each team's workouts.

Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Barry Every will be on hand Monday and Tuesday to break down the top prospects in the game, but the evaluation won't stop there. Expect a daily Hot 11 for each team, detailing who the top performers of the day on each squad. Rivals.com will also be talking to the coaching staffs to get their perspective on who has impressed, who has surprised and who to keep an eye on in the game.

It won't all be sweat and blood in Florida.

After a long week of practice, the players will get the opportunity to compete in a more casual setting on Thursday night in the Skills Challenge. Rivals.com will be along for the ride as well to take in all the action and bring you photos and commentary on the event.

After a week of live updates, photo galleries, notebooks, and daily evaluation, the Rivals.com staff will be field-side on Saturday watching the 80 All-Stars go head-to-head.

Rivals.com will close the week with wrapups of the top performers from the event. We'll let you know who raised their stock - and who struggled.

So if you can't wait for the Saturday afternoon matchup between five-stars A.J. Green and Will Hill, we'll hold you over with A.J.'s daily showdowns with Brandon Harris instead.
