Calathes shines at multiple spots for Gators

The Rivals.com Five-Star Freshman Tracker is a look at how the top players in the Class of 2007 Rivals150 are faring in college. It will be updated each Tuesday throughout basketball season.

This Week's Featured Five-Star Freshman
Guys are being described as "all-court players" too often.

If there's a player who deserves the label it's gifted Florida freshman Nick Calathes. At 6 feet 6, 185 pounds, he already has played the point guard, shooting guard and small forward positions for the Gators. What's more, he has handled each with aplomb.

He has scored 20 or more points four times. He has had at least eight assists on four occasions as well, and he has had at least eight rebounds in a game three times. He can step out and hit the 3-pointer (at least three 3s three times) or be content running Florida's offense from the point.

Perhaps most importantly, on the couple of occasions when he has not played well the Orlando-area prep star has bounced back with a big game. That doesn't bode well for Temple, Florida's next opponent on Dec. 29.
