1. Michael Beasley, Kansas State
Season Averages: 26.7 ppg, 15.0 rpg
The Buzz: The smooth-shooting left-hander had 24 points and 12 rebounds against Oregon, but it wasn't enough to avoid the Wildcats' second loss of the season.
2. Eric Gordon, Indiana
Season Averages: 24.3ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.6 apg
The Buzz: After scoring 29 and 22 in wins over Georgia Tech and Southern Illinois, Gordon injured his back and played just 12 minutes Monday night against Tennessee State. Coach Kelvin Sampson said after the game he expets Gordon to be fine to face Kentucky on Saturday.
3. Derrick Rose, Memphis
Season Averages: 17 ppg, 5 rpg, 4.3 apg
The Buzz: Rose had 19 points, a season-high 12 assists and two turnovers in 23 minutes in a rout of Austin Peay.
4. O.J. Mayo, USC
Season Averages: 21 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.8 apg
The Buzz: Mayo didn't have an assist in 38 minutes in a victory over Oklahoma, and he had two assists and five turnovers in a loss to Kansas on Sunday.
5. Kyle Singler, Duke
Season Averages: 14.1 ppg, 7 rpg
The Buzz: Singler had a nice week, averaging 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds as the Blue Devils picked up quality wins over Wisconsin and Davidson.
6. Kevin Love, UCLA
Season Averages: 17.3 ppg, 9.9 rpg
The Buzz: Love had a season-low 11 points in a victory over George Washington and also mustered only 11 in Sunday's loss to Texas.
7. Bill Walker, Kansas State
Season Averages: 10.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg
The Buzz: Walker had only four points and five rebounds in a loss to Oregon in Kansas State's lone game, but he did contribute five assists and no turnovers in 26 minutes.
8. DeAndre Jordan, Texas A&M
Season Averages: 8.5 ppg, 6.9 rpg
The Buzz: Jordan's minutes (15 per game) and production (3 ppg, 2.5 rpg) dropped off significantly this week as the Aggies beat Alabama and suffered their first loss, to Arizona.
9. Donte Greene, Syracuse
Season Averages: 18.9 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 2.3 bpg
The Buzz:Greene had 20 points and six rebounds in a loss to UMass, then had his worst game of the season in a victory over Tulane, shooting 1-of-12 and scoring nine points.
10. J.J. Hickson, N.C. State
Season Averages: 18.5 ppg, 8.3 rpg
The Buzz: The big forward was the lone bright spot for the Wolfpack in a blowout loss to Michigan State, going for 21 points and 10 rebounds.
11. James Harden, Arizona State
Season Averages: 16 ppg, 5.3 rpg
The Buzz: Harden had eight points, four rebounds and seven turnovers in a 15-point loss to Nebraska.
12. Anthony Randolph, LSU
Season Averages: 15.4 ppg, 8.4 rpg
The Buzz: Randolph had a monster game in a rout of Southern: 24 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks.
13. Jerryd Bayless, Arizona
Season Averages: 19.9 ppg, 4.9 apg, 3.7 rpg
The Buzz: Bayless had a great week (23.5 ppg, 60 percent from the floor) and continues to be a consistent scorer; he as scored at least 14 points in all seven Wildcats games.
14. Nick Calathes, Florida
Season Averages: 15.1 ppg, 5.7 apg, 3.1 rpg
The Buzz: After scoring just seven points in consecutive games, Calathes appears to be back on track. he scored 21 in a win over Vermont on Friday and 24 in a win over Jacksonville on Monday.
15. Austin Freeman, Georgetown
Season Averages: 6.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg
The Buzz: Freeman continues to see limited minutes, but he tied his season high in scoring with 11 points in a victory over Old Dominion on 5-of-7 shooting.
16. Kosta Koufos, Ohio State
Season Averages: 16.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg
The Buzz: Koufos was brought to earth against No. 1 North Carolina with a season-low four points (1-of-10 from the floor), three rebounds and three turnovers.
17. Patrick Patterson, Kentucky
Season Averages: 16.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg
The Buzz: Patterson has emerged as the inconsistent Wildcats' most consistent player. He had 19 points in each of UK's games last week, including 19 and nine rebounds against No. 1 UNC.
18. Mac Koshwal, DePaul
Season Averages: 7.3 ppg, 8.0 rpg
The Buzz: Koshwal broke out with his best game in the Blue Demons' victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi: a season-high 17 points and eight rebounds.
19. Chandler Parsons, Florida
Season Averages: 11.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg
The Buzz: Scored 10 points in 24 minutes in a win over Stetson and 17 points in just 21 minutes in a win over Jacksonville.
20. Craig Brackins, Iowa State
Season Averages: 14 ppg, 7 rpg
The Buzz: Brackins had his best and worst games of the season last week: two points on 1-of-9 shooting in a loss to Northern Iowa followed by 23 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Oregon State.
21. Jamelle Horne, Arizona
Season Averages: 5.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg
The Buzz: Horne had 12 points in a win over Cal State-Fullerton but played only five minutes in the win over Texas A&M and didn't score.
22. Jonny Flynn, syracuse
Season Averages: 13.1 ppg, 6.1 apg, 52.6 FG%
The Buzz: Flynn bounced back from a bad week with a sizzling shooting performance for the week (68.4 percent), averaging 18.5 points and 8.0 assists.
23. Blake Griffin, Oklahoma
Season Averages: 13.6 ppg, 8.4 rpg
The Buzz: Griffin had a season-low four points in a loss to USC but followed up with 15 points in a win at TCU.
24. Solomon Alabi, Florida State
Season Averages: 3.6 ppg, 1.8 rpg
The Buzz: Alabi has been brought back slowly from a stress fracture, but he played in all three of FSU's victories last week, including a season-high 14 minutes against Stetson.
25. Austin Daye, Gonzaga
Season Averages: 13.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.1 bpg
The Buzz: Daye scored a season-low five points in only 10 minutes in a win over UConn after tallying 17 points in a win against St. Joseph's.
26. Beas Hamga, UNLV
Season Averages: Redshirting this season
The Buzz: N/A
27. Corey Fisher, Villanova
Season Averages: 11.8 ppg, 2.8 apg
The Buzz: Fisher had a solid all-around game (13 points, four assists, four steals) in the Wildcats' only game last week, an 87-61 victory over Penn.
28. Corey Stokes, Villanova
Season Averages: 2.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg
The Buzz: Stokes hasn't been able to find the range on his jumper this season, shooting 1-of-8 against Penn to drop his season shooting average to 20 percent.
