Tuesday's Top Tigers

Tuesday's Top Tigers makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. Each week from now through the end of football season, we will rank the 11 Tigers who had the best game the previous week. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. This is our list of the 11 Tigers who had the best days in the 41-10 thrashing of Texas Tech:

Tuesday's Top Tigers
RANK PLAYER THE ANALYSIS LAST WEEK
1 Pig Brown, S Brown was everywhere. Everything this defense does comes from the energy and leadership of Brown. If MU finishes strong, he'll get defensive player of the year votes. NR
2 Adam Spieker, C The line dominated and Spieker ripping a fumble away from Tech was the biggest play of the game. NR
3 Ryan Madison, OG Numbers three through six could be put in any order. The line was fantastic. NR
4 Kurtis Gregory, OG See above. NR
5 Colin Brown, OT See above. NR
6 Tyler Luellen, OT See above. NR
7 William Moore, S Moore might be the second-best safety on this team, but he is very good. He is a tone-setter with big hits and had an interception as well. NR
8 Jimmy Jackson, TB With Temple out, Jackson played well enough to deserve another start. He is a tough runner, a solid receiver and does everything he is asked. 7
9 Darnell Terrell, CB He struggled at the start of the year, but has played very well of late. If you rarely hear a cornerback mentioned, especially against Texas Tech, it means he played a great game. NR
10 Derrick Washington, TB By the end of the year, he might be the best back on the team. Washington really ran well last week. NR
11 Tommy Chavis, DE He has turned into a strong pass-rusher. Chavis' emergence might be the single biggest reason for the defensive improvement over the last three weeks. NR
