Move on without Biggs

Obviously the big news of the week has been the dismissal of junior point guard Deverell Biggs for repeated violations of team rules. Nebraska loses one of its biggest offensive sparks in Biggs' absence, as he ranked third on the team with 9.9 points while averaging over 20 minutes in 15 games this season. Even though the Huskers are 3-1 in the four games Biggs has missed this year, they will still have to find a way to replace his energy off the bench. Look for David Rivers, Benny Parker and possibly Nathan Hawkins to all play bigger roles.
Control the pace

Nebraska has faced its share of fast teams over the course of this season, but none will get up and down the floor much quicker than Indiana, according to head coach Tim Miles. With a small but extremely athletic lineup, the Hoosiers love to get out in transition and turn games into track meets, as they average 76.4 points per game on the year. Not only that, IU ranks fourth nationally in rebounding at 42.7 per game, so the Huskers won't get many second-chance opportunities on offense, meaning they'll have to be extremely efficient.
Keep up the PBA magic

With an impressive 9-1 record at home this season, Nebraska is quickly establishing itself as one of the most formidable home-court advantages in the Big Ten. The Huskers are 2-1 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in conference play, and that one loss came on a missed buzzer-beater against Michigan. On the other side, Indiana is just 1-3 on the road this year and has lost two of its past three road games in league play. If Nebraska can come out and play with the type of fire it had against the likes of Ohio State and Minnesota, another PBA upset could be on tap.

Nebraska head coach Tim Miles on the importance winning at home has in building a program:

"Winning the locker room is job one. Getting your guys to believe in the charge, believe in Nebraska, be here for Nebraska is job one. Job two is be good at home. Rally the troops, get the fans involved, win at home. Hopefully now recruiting improves and you get the size, length and the defensive ability to win on the road too. Usually you just don't have enough defensive size, length to be a good road team."
Miles on his recent "assist" in helping a Nebraska fan propose to his fiancé:

"A couple weeks ago I got an email from a young guy that said, 'Hey, I'm going to propose to my girlfriend, and she's a big Coach Miles fan. I've got a plan. Would you be interested?' So you know, I'm a bad emailer, and a few days later I finally get back to it and said, 'What do you have in mind?' I'm thinking like, maybe I'm going to sign a basketball, I don't know. Then he goes, 'I want you to shoot a video that kind of sets up my proposal.' So with iPhones and stuff like that you can do it 10 seconds, and so we did it in two takes by the way - I was kind of happy about that - and I tried to set it up for him and I emailed it to him right from my phone. I'm like, 'Here you go. We better get a yes here now. I mean, we're not here to lose.' I found out this morning that it all went well, so congratulations to our happy new couple. Maybe they'll get married at half court at Pinnacle Bank Arena?"

Nebraska 73-72
