Miller evaluates his spring game performance

CINCINNATI - The Spring Game is in the books and the countdown to Fall Camp begins for the Buckeyes as they look to build on their 12-game winning streak, a streak that did not allow them to get to a bowl game or even the Big Ten Championship Game last season due to NCAA penalties.

Much of the success of the team will wide on the arm and the legs of quarterback Braxton Miller in the '13 season and expectations are high for what the junior-to-be will be able to deliver with two years under his belt and another year to learn under 2nd year offensive coordinator Tom Herman.

Miller's numbers were solid in Saturday's spring game, even though there were a lot of constraints on what could and could not be done with Miller wearing a non-contact jersey, the defense being without several key players and the split of the team down the middle not allowing either team to have a full compliment of weapons.

On Saturday Miller passed for two touchdowns (20-yard pass to Devin Smith, 3-yard pass to Corey Brown) and one rushing touchdown (5-yard run in the 3rd quarter). Miller would end up passing for 217 yards, completing 16 of 25 attempts. The rushing yards were not there but that was a factor of not being allowed to run with a non-contact jersey on. We talked with Miller after the game on Saturday and have his full comments to the media. Check it out.
