It was another game, another win for Duke, but it meant a little more for Duke senior guard Seth Curry.

Curry's father, Dell Curry, is Virginia Tech's second all-time leading scorer. His jersey and face hang on a banner in the rafters of Cassell Coliseum.

With his parents in attendance, Seth gave his father plenty to be proud of, as well as his coach, Mike Krzyzewski. In Curry's final game, he made five of six three-pointers for 22 points, an improvement from struggles in his previous two games at Cassell Coliseum.

"It doesn't make any difference what he did here before," Krzyzewski said. "Guys are not like, that happened on Thursday in my life so Thursdays are bad now. He's too good of a player to worry about that."

There haven't been too many off-individual games for Curry's counterpart, Virginia Tech senior guard Erick Green. And again tonight, he poured in 22 points of his own. But Krzyzewski was also pleased with the defense the Blue Devils played against him, even as he connected on 8-14 shots.

We did something a little different in the full court to try and get the ball out of his hands and they went pretty well for us tonight," Krzyzewski said. "You just make guys who haven't been bringing the ball up the court bring it up and that can get into them a little bit. That can get into them a little bit, you know, guys that are shooters now have to do more than just react off of Green and our guys did a really nice job executing that."

But Krzyzewski was still proud of his senior guard, even despite a technical foul in the first half after making a three-pointer and taunting junior forward Jarell Eddie. Krzyzweski chided Curry and told him to apologize before the second half.

"I don't know how open he was, I just know he works real hard to get open," Krzyzewski said. I don't think they were doing anything to say, 'Seth, you can take your shot.' Our guys set good screens and Seth worked real hard. He had just a short window and took advantage of it."
