Stoneburner focused on the combine

INDIANAPOLIS - The NFL Combine is the biggest job interview that any football player will have in their career and seven Buckeyes will get their chances to meet with NFL executives and head coaches as they explain why a team should take a chance on them in the draft.

For former Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner the path to the draft has seen him change positions (back-and-forth) a couple of times and be involved in some pretty lean years from an offensive standpoint with the Buckeyes.

In the 2012 season the Dublin (Ohio) native had 16 receptions for 269 yards and four touchdowns. Over his Buckeye career he had 53 total receptions and 13 touchdowns at a position (when he played tight end) that hasn't seen a lot of action throughout the years, at least prior to the arrival of Urban Meyer.

On Thursday we had a chance to talk to Stoneburner from the NFL Scouting Combine and while he hasn't had a chance yet to go through his paces physically, he is already talking with teams and taking in the process that will hopefully land him in "The League" and playing on Sundays.
