Cousins then made his way to the Michigan State locker room where he celebrated the dramatic win over Georgia with his teammates. before reflecting on yet another milestone by Michigan State's senior class.
"Well, Georgia is as good of a team in the country as there is and, as I said, their defense is all that it was cracked up to be before the game, and the fact that we stood toe-to-toe with them and battled all game says a lot about our program and where we've come and where we're going," Cousins said. "I am excited to have been a part of a program that was down and fighting to make a bowl game to now leave with two straight 11 win seasons and finish in the top 10 of the country hopefully, I think it shows what our seniors, and what our program has done over the past five years."

Cousins finished the game with 300 yards passing with one touchdown and three interceptions.
The fifth-year senior became Michigan State's all-time career passing yards leader in the third quarter on a 23-yard completion to Brian Linthicum in the third quarter.
Cousins also holds MSU career marks for completions (723), TD passes (66), passing efficiency rating (141.6), 200-yard passing games (26), and total offense (9,004 yards).
