Four California basketball players notched double-digit point totals this morning against the Danish National Team, but it was true freshman David Kravish who really came into his own, as the Bears downed the Danes 95-78 to put an exclamation point on their five-game, 10-day European swing.

Though junior forward Robert Thurman posted another impressive game to lead Cal with 17 points, it was Kravish who was on the floor in the fourth quarter as the Bears opened up a 10-point lead to secure the eventual 17-point win at Kildeskovshallen, Adolphvej 25 in Gentofte, Denmark. Kravish finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Sophomore guards Allen Crabbe and Jeff Powers also had big games with 13 and 10 points, respectively. Senior guard Jorge Gutierrez had nine points while sophomore guard Justin Cobbs dropped eight points and dished out eight assists.

Junior point guard Brandon Smith posted seven points. Freshman forward Christian Behrens scored six; roommates Emerson Murray and Alex Rossi had five and three points, respectively.

With Thurman, Kravish, Crabbe, Gutierrez, and Cobbs on the floor to start the game, the Bears tallied 26 points in the first quarter, but the Danes kept it close and trailed by just two at the first break. Cal widened its lead to six by halftime, though, heading into the locker room with a 50-44 margin.

The Bears sent the same starting five out onto the floor to start the second half, and built a 10-point cushion as the third stanza came to a close with Cal on top, 71-61. The Bears ran with Murray, Rossi, Kravish, and Behrens in the final quarter as the young Bears turned an impressive 10-point lead into a blowout 17-point win, finishing off their swing through Scandinavia with a 4-1 record.
