Shake off the rust

While Nebraska is riding its longest winning streak since 1994-95, it's not exactly coming into today's game full of momentum. The Huskers haven't played a game since Dec. 21, and they'll need to find a way to get back into their groove after the 12-day break. With two more non-conference games before the start of the Big 12 Conference season, it will be crucial for NU to get back into the swing of things in a hurry.
Dominate the paint

With the way sophomore center Jorge Brian Diaz has been scoring and the addition of redshirt sophomore center Christopher Niemann to the rotation, Nebraska should have no problem owning the low post against a North Dakota team that doesn't feature any formidable competition in the paint. It would also be nice to see junior center Andre Almeida come up with another big game after several quiet performances.
Follow Jeter's lead

There's no denying at this point that Nebraska will go as far as senior point guard Lance Jeter will take it. When Jeter gets into a rhythm and starts pushing the tempo on both sides of the court, the Huskers are definitely at their best. The best way to rekindle the momentum NU gained before the break would be to let Jeter get out and run all over the Fighting Sioux.

Head coach Doc Sadler on where his team is coming out the 12-day break:

"Going into Christmas, you've got to be very proud of this team. To be 10-2 right now, I would've taken that before the season started. This basketball team, from December 27 to January 7, has to become a really good team, and I think we can."
Sadler on where his team still needs to improve:

"Our turnovers. We ended up with 14 (against Grambling State) and we are not good enough. We can't allow that to happen. We have to limit our turnovers to eight to 10 to compete against the good teams in the league. We've been doing a good job on the offensive boards. I think Christopher Niemann is going to help us, I really do. He is going to be a good addition."

Nebraska 75-50
