Robinson sets visits

One of the nation's top offensive line recruits has set official visits to three schools and plans to make a decision before the end of the season.

Thibodaux's (La.) Greg Robinson, rated the No. 4 tackle in the 2011 class, will visit Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M, and make a commitment in November.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound four-star prospect's visit to Auburn will be the weekend of the LSU game (Oct. 22-24). Robinson will visit LSU the weekend the in-state Tigers host Alabama (Nov. 5-7), and trek to A&M when the Aggies play Nebraska (Nov. 19-21).

"Auburn and LSU are still my top two," said Robinson. "I'll decide between them in November. I'll visit Texas A&M, but they aren't really in the running. I'm going to visit them because I have a friend there that I want to go watch."

Auburn and LSU have been Robinson's favorites since the spring, and will remain at the top until he decides between the two. LSU was the early frontrunner, but Auburn moved to No. 1 on his list after visiting in May for Big Cat Weekend.

Auburn maintained an edge throughout the summer, but the two sets of Tigers are equal heading into the middle of the fall.

"I feel good about both Auburn and LSU," said Robinson. "I really like Auburn and I really like LSU. They are pretty much tied right now."

Robinson said both schools have several things that sets them apart from others.

"LSU is close to home," he said. "I've been there a lot and I feel comfortable there. I'm familiar with everything. I like the campus and the coaches, and the atmosphere on game day is crazy.

"With Auburn, it's a different feeling I have when I'm there. Auburn just makes you feel like you're at home. I love the coaches. Coach Trooper Taylor is like father to me. And my best friend (Trovon Reed) is there, too."

Robinson said he would choose between Auburn and LSU following his visit to Baton Rouge (Nov. 5-7).

"I can't go wrong with either of them" he said. "I can't make a bad choice."

Rivals rates Robinson the No. 3 overall recruit in Louisiana.
