Uzoh performs well in Portsmouth

In the opening round of the tournament on Thursday, Uzoh scored a team-high 16 points in 23 minutes, while converting on 6-of-9 field goals in leading his Portsmouth Partnership team to a 104-85 victory over the Cherry, Bekaert & Holland squad. He also connected on 4-of-6 free throws, dished out four assists and added two steals.
During Friday's semifinal round, Uzoh scored 12 points in a team-high 27 minutes, but it wasn't enough in a 98-75 defeat to Roger Browns. He converted 6-of-12 field goals and added five rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal.
Uzoh had another solid showing in the third-place game on Saturday night. He scored 15 points and added a team-leading five assists and three steals in 24 minutes, as his team defeated Norfolk Sports Club 87-84. Uzoh connected on 6-of-8 field goals and 2-of-2 free throws while tallying his 15 points. He also hit one of Portsmouth Partnerships' two three-point field goals, and added five rebounds.
The Portsmouth Partnership team ended with a 2-1 record. For the three-game tournament, Uzoh averaged 14.3 points, while shooting 62-percent (18-of-29) from the field and 75-percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line. He also averaged 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocked shots.
