Washington set Auburn single-game records with 202 kickoff return yards and 229 total return yards (202 kickoff return/27 punt return) during the Tigers' game at Georgia.
He returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 24-24. It was the sixth longest kickoff return in school history and the longest since Tim Carter's 100-yard return against LSU in 2000.
Washington's totals of 202 kickoff return yards and 229 total return yards were both the fourth most in SEC single-game history, and his kickoff return average of 40.4 yards on five returns is the second-best mark in SEC single-game history with a minimum of four returns.
Washington, who also started at safety and collected four tackles, is the second Auburn player this season to be named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Wes Byrum earned the award after kicking four field goals in a victory at Tennessee.
Auburn (7-4, 3-4 SEC) is off this weekend before hosting No. 2 Alabama (10-0, 7-0 SEC) on Friday, Nov. 27, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. CT and be televised by CBS.
