Miami running back De'Andre Johnson made his first official visit with a trip to Iowa City this weekend. The 5-foot-8, 210-pound Johnson, who attends Monsignor Pace High School, enjoyed the chance to learn more about the Hawkeye football program during his stay.
On Saturday, Johnson was in attendance at Kinnick Stadium as the Hawkeyes knocked off Arizona by a score of 27-17. The three-star prospect, whose hosts were Jordan Bernstine and Mike Daniels on the visit, said he was impressed with the game day atmosphere in Iowa City.
Johnson, who made the trip with his mom and uncle, also had a chance to meet Iowa's other official visitor this weekend, Fort Lauderdale running back James C. White. With the Hawkeyes only looking to take one more back this year, the two recruits know that one's decision might affect the other.
