Metoyer has favorites, waiting on offers

Last week, Whitehouse junior receiver Trey Metoyer had a game that most receivers could only dream of. In the season opener on the road against Class 5A Garland Naaman Forest, Metroyer caught 16 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-34 loss.

It was impressive that over half of Whitehouse's 29 completions were to Metoyer. However, what was even more impressive was that even after 15 receptions Metoyer had enough energy left to go up and grab a 10-yard touchdown pass that cut Naaman Forest's lead to 35-34 prior to an unsuccessful two-point conversion.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Metoyer has significant interest from Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Oregon.
