NCAA Tourney a first for most Jayhawks

Kansas is clearly no stranger to the NCAA Tournament. However, this year's team certainly lacks tournament experience. What will the Jayhawks do, if anything, to compensate for their lack of experience. Who will Bill Self lean on most as No. 3 seed Kansas opens up its title defense against No. 14 seed North Dakota State on Friday night? With Kansas set to leave for Minneapolis, Minn., in a few days, Self met with the media on Monday morning for the final time before leaving the Sunflower State. Jayhawk Slant has the very latest on the Jayhawks inside.

Just a few short weeks ago, Self and the Jayhawks were rolling along as one of the most impressive teams in college basketball. At one-point late in the season, Kansas was sitting pretty with a 24-5 record and 13-1 conference play.
