Gano gunning for day one pick
Graham Gano is still soaking in what was a dream season.
After returning from a knee injury early in the season, the Seminole kicker and punter had a near perfect 2008. In addition to being the nation's most accurate field goals kicker hitting 24-of-26, including five from 50 yards out or further, he proved to be an elite punter averaging nearly 43 yards a punt. He finished off his college career by earning MVP honors in the Champs Sports Bowl thanks largely to his uncanny accuracy on punts hitting three straight inside Wisconsin's five-yard line in the first half.
While there's little question that Gano was the top kicker in college football, whether or not the NFL will hold him in the same high regard remains to be seen.
