Hollingsworth tells what happend

Like many other offensive commitments of Mississippi State, Josh Hollingsworth was excited to hear the announcement that Florida offensive coordinator Dan Mullen was taking over the reigns in Starkville.

Hollingsworth's mind began to wonder about how much fun it will be to play in a pass-happy offense like the spread at the next level. But all that changed on Monday when Hollingsworth was told his scholarship had been pulled.

"I sent (assistant coach Rockey Felker) a message on Sunday asking him when I can talk to Coach Mullen," Hollingsworth said. "That was about six o'clock that night and I never heard back from him. The next day he called my dad and told him that he was coming here to talk to me. My dad told my mom and she told me while I was at school. I wasn't really sure about the whole thing.

" When he came, he took me into another room to talk to me and he basically said Coach Mullen changed it around where he only wants to bring one quarterback in and that is pretty much going to be Tyler Russell. He told me that I could stay and greyshirt if I wanted to. I told him that wasn't what I wanted to do."
