Nevada LB will wait

Three-star linebacker Damien Proby (6-0, 210, 4.62) from North Las Vegas (Nev.) Cheyenne first impressed Rivals.com with his standout performance at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto, Calif., where he was one of the best linebackers at the camp.

Proving he wasn't a fluke, Proby is one of the main reasons why Cheyenne is sitting with a very pretty 7-1 record.

Proby has offers on the table from Northwestern, Washington State, Utah State, San Diego State, Wyoming and the hometown school, UNLV.

"Class comes first," Proby said. "You can't play football without good grades."

"I'm staying focused on both football and academics," Proby said. "That is why I'm going to wait until after the season to take my visits."
