Dawgs looking west at Rivals250 OL
Georgia played at Arizona State earlier this season and they really made the most of their time out west. Not only did the Dawgs take care of the Sun Devils, but they scouted a talented offensive tackle as well out in the dessert. This Rivals250 offensive tackle has interest in UGA.
"Georgia's offensive line coach (Stacy Searels) came out to see me play and he said that he likes the way I play, my style, and that he is going to take a deep look at me," said Taylor Lewan. "Coach Searels calls me every week and he is a cool coach. We have good conversation and he is a cool guy."
Georgia has yet to pull the trigger with an offer, but the last few weeks have been big for the new Rivals250 member. Just this week Lewan moved to four-stars and is now the number 188 prospect in the country.
"My film got out after about three games and offers started to really come in after that. I think I am up to 14 offers now, but about 10 have come in just in the last few weeks after they saw my film."
"Most of the schools showing interest have offered me right now, but Georgia and USC are two that are sending mail and talking to me that have not offered. Things have really picked up."
Things not only picked because of the film his father sent out, but because the 6-foot-7, 272 pound moved to his position of the future this fall.
"It is my first year playing offensive line, so no schools ever saw me playing tackle until this yea," the Arizona native explained. "I was always playing defense before, so now I am playing offensive line with that defensive mentality. I think that has really helped me."
