Eagles in top three for Hill

Despite giving a verbal commitment to Central Florida in early August, Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove wide receiver Stephen Hill has kept his options open and recently decided to take a few visits. He was at Boston College over the weekend and came away with a great impression of the Eagles' program.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver has the ability to stretch the field and will provide his future college quarterbacks with a big target that they will not take for granted.

Boston College did not back off after Hill committed to Central Florida, so he decided to take a trip to BC. What did he think of what he saw?

"It was nice. I liked everything as a matter of fact," Hill explained. "It was real cold but everything was fine. They had me talking to all the coaches and the strength and conditioning coach.

"I looked at a little bit of film and toured the campus with some guys. They had me talk to some other people about what I'm looking for in a college. The game was great. I really loved that. The coaches told me they're looking for a receiver that can come in and play early.

"I think I would fit in real good at Boston College. They throw the ball a lot, and I really do like that."

This weekend Hill plans on taking an official visit to Central Florida for their game against Tulsa, a team averaging about 56 points per game. On December 12 he plans on taking an official visit to Georgia Tech. With the Yellow Jackets sitting at 6-1, it is a safe bet that they will be preparing for their bowl game during that time.

"I'm still going to take two other visits, too, but I'm not sure which schools I'll go to," he said. "I'm still looking at Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi State. Mississippi State has offered but the other two haven't.

"Right now I'd say things have pretty much balanced out. Boston College, Georgia Tech and UCF are all about even."

Hill is a three-star prospect and rated the No. 60 senior in the state of Georgia.
