Spirits up at Tuesday's practice
Tuesday's practice welcomed back in pads the return of senior quarterback Ben Olson and senior wide receiver Marcus Everett took some reps and should be good to go this Saturday when the Bruins play Stanford in the homecoming game.
The team returned for work and displayed outstanding effort. UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel was very pleased with his team's effort.
Neuheisel: "It was a good practice. The scout teams were very, very, spirited and I just like coming to work with these guys. They just keep trying, they keep busting their tails and it's a great group that way. We just got to keep working to do the little things so we don't beat ourselves and give ourselves every chance to be successful and win games."
What is the status of Ben Olson?
Neuheisel: "Ben is just in the infancy stages of getting back, but he's not going to be ready for this week."
Will he be ready after the bye week, do you think?
Neuheisel: "You never know, you never know, that would be the probable time when you have a chance to get him some work and give him the chance to develop and get back into game shape."
