Bruin pledge rewind

Four-star quarterback Richard Brehaut (6-2, 208, 4.8) from Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos gave Bruins fans excellent news with his announcement that if he get some things done then he will enroll for the spring quarter and participate in spring ball.

Brehaut led his team to 24-14 victory over Fontana (Calif.) Kaiser after hitting on 18 completes out of 25 attempts for 240 yards. He didn't run a lot because Kaiser put a spy on him so he what all good quarterbacks do and that is find the open man and get the ball to him.

We don't have stats for the Vista Murietta, Los Osos' lone loss, but in Brehaut's previous two games before Vista Murietta Brehaut passed for 354 yards for three touchdowns and rushed for 198 yards and three rushing touchdowns on the ground.

Brehaut is 110 percent Bruin.

Brehaut made the Rivals.com Rivals100 team for the class of 2009. Rivals.com rates Brehaut as the nation's No. 53 prospect at any position. He also ranked by Rivals.com the nation's No. 4 pro-style quarterback.

Brehaut was also selected to the Rivals.com California Preseason Top 100 team landing as the Golden State's No. 15 prospect at any position.
