Datone Jones tastes first action

Another true freshman saw his first action against Arizona in defensive end Datone Jones. He racked up the first of many, hopefully for the Bruins, tackle for loss. BruinBlitz.com talked to Jones about his first bit of playing time after a recent practice.

BruinBlitz.com: Datone you saw your first college action, can you tell the folks about it?

Jones: "It was a great experience. I was really hungry. I didn't care about how fast the game was or how strong the guys were. I just wanted to go in and make a big play."

BruinBlitz.com: What was it like going against guys in college?

Jones: "Well No. 77 (junior OT Eben Britton), he's probably going to the NFL first round, I went up against him three times and I got him. I got the best of him. I'm not bragging or anything, but he was pretty strong and I think I need to hit the weight room more, but it was a great experience.

"In high school, I probably would have just run past the guy and here, I had to use my technique. I had to use my hands to get him off of me, so it was pretty good."
